Unique Metal Sculpture by Graham Hawkins

“Steelquirks” describes Graham’s work perfectly; hand-crafted in steel with a quirky twist in construction, form or theme.

Graham spent much of his youth around art and more specifically sculpture, helping his Father who worked at Bath Academy of Art.

After a career in IT, he returned to art as a purely personal pastime, creating metal sculptures using skills learned over 30 years ago. As the sculptures filled his home and garden he was encouraged to share his work with a wider audience.

Having had no formal art education beyond A level, Graham feels no restrictions as to what or how he should make things and does not feel the need to pursue a single direction.

When asked what inspires him, Graham’s usual reply is “anything and everything”.  He’s even been known to pause the TV to take a photo of something which catches his eye and sparks his imagination.

September is here following a great summer.

Happy to say all my pieces sold at the Miserden exhibition, very pleasing.

Best of the bunch was stewarding the day that #Wrengine sold and making the sale myself.

Next on the agenda is the Avebury Manor sculpture exhibition which starts on 5th September.

I have two pieces in this exhibition, Dash and Sting which can be found in the kitchen garden.

I do not have a web based shop, I prefer people to have the opportunity to view, hande and fully experience my work before committing to making a purchase.

Accordingly I attend local Art Fairs in Chippenham, Cirencester and Bath. I have also had my work in a number exhibitions, and on display in galleries. Below is a list of Art Fairs I will be attending in the coming months.
