Unique Metal Sculpture by Graham Hawkins
“Steelquirks” describes Graham’s work perfectly; hand-crafted in steel with a quirky twist in construction, form or theme.
Graham spent much of his youth around art and more specifically sculpture, helping his Father who worked at Bath Academy of Art.
After a career in IT, he returned to art as a purely personal pastime, creating metal sculptures using skills learned over 30 years ago. As the sculptures filled his home and garden he was encouraged to share his work with a wider audience.
Having had no formal art education beyond A level, Graham feels no restrictions as to what or how he should make things and does not feel the need to pursue a single direction.
When asked what inspires him, Graham’s usual reply is “anything and everything”. He’s even been known to pause the TV to take a photo of something which catches his eye and sparks his imagination.

Time is flying by and I've got lots to tell you.

The Sculpture exhibition at Avebury Manor gardens is still on where you can see my Cetacean in the topiary garden until the 19th October.

Lastly the Cotswold Sculptors Association indoor exhibition is taking place as part of the Autumn art trail, Stroud.
Find us at the Sanctuary Space, Brinscombe Mill, Stroud.
I will have three pieces on display. One of which is featured on the Art Trail brochure cover.
